Corpus of Portraits Switzerland

The portraits by Christian Scholz is rooted in a fascination with body and countenance.
This includes of course his occupation with portraiture as a enigma.

This website describes, in several steps, the grown context of the Corpus of Portraits Switzerland (1990 – 2020) by Christian Scholz, Zürich. It’s purpose is to provide in dformations on the editions, called “501 portraits – The complete corpus” (Switzerland 2020) and “Selection 192” (Switzerland 2018). New art projects in terms of portraiture are welcome or already in progress.

Individual portraits and groups of works, without any cutout, have been featured in solo exhibitions as well as in books (just new: “Femmes de Suisse”). All silver gelatin prints are hand crafted and stem from his Zürich based laboratory. Scholz’ art work is represented in public and privat collections in Switzerland and more and more abroad.
